Our Technicians have over 10 years experience working on a variety of cars, we most commonly see Chevy, Subaru, Toyota, Ford, GMC, and BMW/Mini. We DO work on Land Rover and other luxury brands as well, but we recommend reaching out about your specific concern as some vehicles/issues are best solved by the dealer (usually software stuff!)
QUESTION: CAN I COME TO YOU? OR DO YOU COME TO ME?
Answer: Mobile Mechanic Nearby is 100% mobile! We do not accept walk-ins, drop offs, or appointments from our office under any circumstances. We offer service along the entire Colorado Front Range area!
QUESTION: HOW FAR OUT DO YOU GO?
Answer: Mobile Mechanic Nearby is based out of Westminster, near the i-25 and 120th intersection. We offer standard service anywhere within a 20mi radius of our office, but we are happy to travel further. Service Calls that exceed the 20mi radius will be subjected to a service fee equal to our labor rate in respect to the drive time ($50/30min of driving). Jobs exceeding $500 parts and labor may have this fee waived based on location. Please call us prior to booking if you are unsure if you are in our preferred service area!
QUESTION: WHY DO I HAVE TO SELECT AN APPOINTMENT TIME IF THE TIME ISN'T GUARANTEED?
Answer: Due to the unpredictable and Mobile nature of our work, Mobile Mechanic Nearby simply can't guarantee any appointment times after the first one of the day. Most home services can't and it is all for the same reason: We don't always know how a job is going to go. We will do our best to inform you of our timing, and we will ALWAYS provide an ETA window once we are headed your way. Safety and Customer service are at the core of everything that we do, so we will not start a job we can't finish on the same day. If Mobile Mechanic Nearby cannot finish your repair the day you booked, we will work with you to find the next best day to complete the repair at no additional cost to you.
QUESTION: ARE THERE ANY REPAIRS YOU CAN'T OR WON'T DO?
Answer: Yes and no. Some repairs are better to be taken care of at a brick and mortar shop. These are generally going to be "overhaul" types of repairs, like engine swaps, engine builds, timing belts, transmission replacement/rebuild, etc. We do offer some of those services on a case by case basis, but generally recommend those repairs are completed in a more controlled environment than we can USUALLY offer. We CAN replace A/C systems/componets, but do require the freon is correctly captured and recharged by a certified shop, we are not currently able to correctly evacuate or recharge AC due to equipment size constraints. WE DO NOT OFFER TIRE SERVICE IN HOUSE, WE USE A THIRD PARTY TIRE SERVICE FOR ALL TIRE REPAIRS/REPLACEMENTS AT THIS TIME.
QUESTION: I BOOKED AN APPOINTMENT BUT I NO LONGER NEED IT, CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK?
Answer: No. In order to best serve ALL customers, your deposit also buys your time on the calendar, once that time is spoken for, we cannot get it back so neither can you. We encourage you to reach out if your appointment is no longer needed so that we can try to find a way to offer you something for your deposit, but if no resolution can be reached, Mobile Mechanic Nearby reserves the right to retain your deposit in full.
QUESTION: WHAT IF THE WEATHER MAKES YOU CANCEL THE APPOINTMENT?
Answer: If the weather makes it impossible for Mobile Mechanic Nearby to safely and efficiently perform your service call, Mobile Mechanic Nearby will reach out at the first sign of issue and reschedule the appointment at no additional cost to the customer. Please do not take it upon yourself to cancel the appointment as it may cause service interruptions.
